This is a normal scene in my house: kids in their dance clothes, frantically trying to finish dinner so we can get out the door for their classes.
I never imagined taking on that role.
Though, it really shouldn’t be a surprise. Dance was such a huge part of my childhood, and I always knew I wanted to be a mom, so this really should be something I always knew was coming.
It’s a totally different experience, though. Instead of making sure my hair is up and my ballet slippers are in hand, now I’m making sure all three kids make it to their combined 6 classes a week, on time and in proper attire.
But I love it. They’re learning styles I never experienced and are finding their own niches. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
